Der kleine Ort Hout\u00a0Bay liegt etwas s\u00fcdlich von Kapstadt<\/a>. Auf dem Weg zur Kap Halbinsel<\/a> kommt man hier vorbei. Ebenso beginnt der ber\u00fchmte Chapmans Peak Drive<\/a>\u00a0am Ortsende. Wie der Name schon sagt, liegt der Ort an einer Bucht. Eingerahmt von steil aufragenden Bergen ergibt sich ein wundersch\u00f6nes Bild. Den besten Blick hat man von S\u00fcden aus.<\/p>\n

Ber\u00fchmt ist der Ort f\u00fcr das Fischrestaurant Mariners Wharf\u00a0in dem es ausgezeichnete Meeresfr\u00fcchte gibt und seit einiger Zeit auch einen Fish&Chips Imbiss. Allerdings ist es kein Geheimtipp mehr und dementsprechend gut besucht.<\/p>\n

Au\u00dferdem ist in Hout\u00a0bay\u00a0die World\u00a0of\u00a0Birds. Ein gro\u00dfer Park mit tausenden V\u00f6geln und anderen Kleintieren. Das sch\u00f6ne ist, dass man durch die Volieren teilweise hindurchgehen kann. Besonders f\u00fcr Kinder lohnt sich ein Besuch.<\/p>\n

Am Hafen traf ich auf die Soap Girls. Sie singen ein Liedchen und wollen Seife f\u00fcr einen guten Zweck verkaufen.<\/p>\n
