Der Chapman\u2019s Peak Drive ist eine neun Kilometer lange K\u00fcstenstra\u00dfe auf der Kap-Halbinsel s\u00fcdlich von Kapstadt<\/a>.
\nEr schl\u00e4ngelt sich in 114 Kurven unmittelbar zwischen Meer und steilen Felsw\u00e4nden entlang von Hout\u00a0Bay\u00a0nach Noordhoek\u00a0und f\u00fchrt \u00fcber den Chapman\u2019s Peak, einen 160 Meter hoch gelegenen Aussichtspunkt.\u00a0Der CPD\u00a0gilt\u00a0als eine der weltweit sch\u00f6nsten K\u00fcstenstra\u00dfen.<\/p>\n

Bevorzugt sollte man vom Kap <\/a>nach Hout\u00a0Bay\u00a0fahren, da man so auf der \u00e4u\u00dferen Spur f\u00e4hrt und besser an den Aussichtspunkten halten kann. Seit 2003 ist die Stra\u00dfe mautpflichtig. Es kam zuvor zu starken Erdrutschen bei denen die Stra\u00dfe versch\u00fcttet wurde. In dreij\u00e4hriger Bauzeit wurde die Route durch eine private Gesellschaft wieder instand gesetzt.<\/p>\n
